Open Guild Meeting
There will be an open guild meeting on Friday 5th June at 21:00 server time.

Members of all ranks are encouraged to come along with any issues, requests, suggestions, complaints, etc., that they have about the guild, how it's run, where it's going, or anything else they'd like to bring to the discussion.

Any topics for the agenda can be posted here, but the floor will be open to anyone to speak once this list has been run through. If you can't attend, kindly make a post to let us know about any issues you would like raised and an officer will do so on your behalf.

The meeting will be held on vent, so make sure you have that up and running beforehand. (People with no mics can still type in guild chat.) As we're limited to 20 slots, if turnout exceeds that we'll have to fall back to pure text chat.

Re: Open Guild Meeting - Sat June 6th
Seems sat does not suit everyone either. Given that this is likely to be important in deciding BoL's direction for the next few months, I am inclined to think that we should cancel the friday night Naxx run (21:00 server time) and hold it then instead. Will make a decision tonight based on feedback from as many people as I can talk to beforehand. It would help if people posted availability for both times here too.

Re: Open Guild Meeting - Sat June 6th
I could be working the Friday, and wont be available until 22.30 servertime if i am. I won't know until next week whether this will happen or not.

I am available for the Saturday.

Gah, people...

That leaves us with the options of having a really late night meeting friday, canceling the naxx run on saturday and having it then, or saying we'll meet early on friday and hope grun doesn't get caught for employment.

Go for Friday, which leaves us Saturday to raid. If i have to work, then so be it. I'll come along late, and smash apart any ideas and conclusions you had come up with previously.

Re: Open Guild Meeting - Sat June 6th
Saw you put it in the Shout Box.

As I mentioned yesterday I'd like for those not showing up for their raids/runs to get some sort of penalty points and recieve a lower priority next time they sign up.

Even though we're still a casual guild, a bunch of people still rely on each other to get the show running and it's a killer and freakin' annoying when people ditch us for reasons unknown.

Please do be considerate and let either one of the officers know in advance or post it on the forum if you should be caught up with real life - you know the huge thing with the awsome graphics and no save points.
Re: Open Guild Meeting - Sat June 6th

Btw... I think we need to either re-think or at least have an discussion on how raidsshould fare in the future. I fear we're getting closer and closer to a situation where people might begin to leave us because of the slow progress we do on raids. More and more is seen either in heroic Naxx, EoE and even Ulduar, raids we're still far from achieving at this point.

The casual mind is fine on the low levels but as I can see people are hurrying through level 1-70ish to be ready to heroics and raids. Unfortunately it's like this marathon stops when they reach midlevel 70s and as soon people have hit 80 they expect to be ready for Naxx regardless of their all to often crappy gear (greens, not chanted, not gemmed) and a horrible lazy attitude in doing instances to advance to heroics do lots and lots of heroics to be ready for Naxx.

Most of us did this progress and all of you dreaming of glory and fame in Naxx, sure as Hell has to do the same!

Anyway I’m getting away from my topic. I think we should whip more on people to progress and hit harder on those ditching us without notice. Plus it takes way too much time to continuously have to repeat tactics over and over again for the new ones. People should read up before signing up, have Vent installed and configured. They should also tjeck their gear stats, get enchanting and gems sorted, have foods, flasks and elixirs ready BEFORE the runs. By demanding this I still consider us a friendly and casual guild. But it seems to me that some of our recruits/members see the “casual” aspect as BoL only exists for their own lazy purposes.

Think I should take a break here and get my rage level below 100 again^^;

Re: Open Guild Meeting - Sat June 6th
I dont see the raid progress with EoE/Ulduar/Heroic as something nessesarly connected to this guild. If ppl want to acculy clear some of the harder raid instances i urge them to go outside the guild atm, im not sure how many ppl that have the same PoV that i have but i see experience from "soon to be tempted in the guild" raids is a good thing. If theese ppl then get hooked on raiding 25man 3-4-5 times a week. then let them go... Our guild will not be for them.

If they on the other hand, Love our guild and our ppl, BUT want 25man raids or the harder one... Let them pug. Like me.

Re: Open Guild Meeting - Sat June 6th
We are progressing, although slow. We had a peek through the door to EoE last week and we have had one attempt on Sarth +1 drake. We would have attempted sarth +1 two more times if the people signing up would've actually shown up.
