Officer Elections IIPosted by SigniusNovember 3, 2009 at 6:06 pm
With the descent into inactivity of the majority of the officers elected last July, the next round of elections will be brought forward a bit. As in, now.
Guildies interested in taking a more active role in our guild's direction, or who just like helping out their guildmates, should go read this sticky. Polls will be going up as candidates post their applications in the Officer Elections forum section. Voting starts immediately and will finish before the month's end. Let the deathmatches campaigning begin! Trial of the CrusaderPosted by SigniusNovember 3, 2009 at 3:25 pm
BoL tore through the Trial of the Crusader last night, surpassing the expectations of everyone on the team with a full clear. Congratz to all involved.
Over the next month, the guild will be trying to clear any 10-man content that it has not yet done. I would therefore ask that members keep themselves free for guild runs where possible. Fire and IronPosted by SigniusOctober 24, 2009 at 8:13 pm
Ignis and Iron Council were overrun by BoL this weekend. Ignis was long overdue, as he had been downed before, but never by a full guild team.
Gratz to all involved. Just 4 more encounters to cross off the list ;) There will probably be no Ulduar next saturday with several people missing for halloween. Watch out for ToCr runs starting up during the week! More Mythic Norse-types FreedPosted by SigniusOctober 17, 2009 at 5:45 pm
BoL upped the pace in Ulduar tonight, with two new bosses overcome. Not content with finally besting Hodir, the team continued to one-shot Freya (if you discount some minor death and wipage on trash >_> ).
Gratz to those involved. Sign up early for next weekend's run!
The Death Toll RisesPosted by SigniusOctober 16, 2009 at 6:53 pm
Mostly among the raider ranks, but at least we took Thorim down with us. Yes, another run, another new boss defeated. Sounds suspiciously like progress or something...
Gratz to all implicated in the murder responsible for the freeing of Thorim, and good luck to those choosing to face Hodir tomoro.
Double DragonPosted by SigniusOctober 16, 2009 at 5:59 amLast night saw not one, but two pieces of raid progression.
Firstly, Onyxia was taken down in a remarkably professional manner for a guild team. It's likely that OL will be a regular run as part of thursday night's Dragons event.
The dragon-slaying continued with a spontaneous return to what has for some reason become BoL's most despised raid - the Eye of Eternity. After a few wipes, enough people managed to get the hang of the dragon mounts to take old Big Blue down, with a minute to spare.
Gratz to all who participated in either run. There is a lot of content to progress through in the lead up to Ice Crown Citadel, but with Ulduar runs restarting this weekend, the fast pace set by last night, and the motivation of guildies who have had a break from raiding, we are in a good position.
(Wonder how many guildies are old enough to get the title reference...)
Patch 3.3 PTR notesPosted by GrunduggOctober 13, 2009 at 7:05 pm
Patch 3.3 is going to be one of the biggest patches the game has ever seen in terms of content, as it brings a full raid experience as well as a number of 5 man party instances.
They couldn't just leave it at that however, so let's take a look at what's happened so far over on the PTR test realm for us to look forward to. http://bol.wowstead.com/forums/thread/396 /Grun The FifthPosted by SigniusOctober 9, 2009 at 2:26 pm
To help deal with recent inactivity amongst the officer ranks, Eillonwy* has agreed to step up and cover some of the slack. Be sure to commiserate with congratulate her next time you bump into her online.
*Before anyone starts, Eil was next on the election results; in addition, her level of activity and willingness to pitch in makes her a good choice.
